Terms & Conditions
It is understood that Lucile’s Old Market is established and furnished with historic items, and consequently, it is necessary that any private parties using it shall exercise the utmost care as to the treatment of the furnishings and artifacts located therein. Many of these furnishings and artifacts would be difficult, if not impossible, to replace if they were damaged, destroyed, or stolen. Therefore, any private parties executing this agreement shall assume full liability for damage or loss sustained by Lucile’s Old Market or its furnishings as a result of their use of the premises.
Availability
Lucile’s Old Market is located at 510 S. 10 Street Omaha, NE 68102. Venue rental is available daily from 9:00am until Midnight, upon availability.
Capacity
The maximum capacity of Lucile’s is 100 people.
Layout
The setting for your event will be 1900 square feet of elegant entertaining space.
Securing your Event
To reserve Lucile’s for your event, half of the rental fee must be paid as a reservation fee, upon application.
Fees & Payments
One-half of the Rental fees are due upon reservation of your event (reservation fee, which is non-refundable.
The balance of the rental fee and all other charges will be due 10 days before the date of rental.
Lucile’s accepts payments via check or credit card. All checks are to be made payable to Lucile’s Old Market.
Special Restrictions
Pets are not allowed on the premises.
No smoking is allowed inside Lucile’s. However, smoking is permitted outside.
Votives, floating candles or candles enclosed in chimneys are allowed on guest tables and cake tables only. Fires are not allowed in the fireplace facade. A unity candle or candelabra, this is allowed. All such candles should be extinguished immediately after the event.
The use of any type of confetti, glitter, rice, fireworks, bird seed or similar items is prohibited both inside and outside. Bubbles are acceptable outside.
All decorations must be reviewed and approved by Lucile’s Event Coordinator at least 5 days prior to the event. Absolutely nothing hung, nailed, stapled, taped, or otherwise attached to the walls, floors, windows, or fixtures.
All decorations and personal property must be removed by the Host Group after the event.
Alcohol
Please make sure that all guests served alcohol are of legal drinking age. Lucile’s Old Market will not be held responsible for under-age drinking or for any accidents due to overconsumption of alcohol.
Any guest may be asked to vacate and be escorted from the premises if his/her actions due to alcohol consumption are in question.
The Host Group accepts all responsibility for his/her actions and all actions of guest in regard to alcohol consumption.
All state and local liquor laws must be followed.
All champagne must be uncorked by caters.
Security personnel must be present at all events serving alcohol at an additional fee.
Outside Contractors
Outside contractors such as but not limited to; Event Planner, Musicians, DJs, Audio Video providers, must provide copies of their business licenses, certificates of insurance, and proof of workman's compensation insurance on file with Lucile’s Old Market 10 days before the event. This is the contractor’s responsibility and MUST be in house 10 days prior to the event.
Musicians, DJs & Audio Visual
The placement of any musical group, DJ or Audio Visual in the venue must be discussed with and approved by Lucile’s Events Coordinator at least 10 days prior to the event date.
Insurance
Client shall provide a Certificate of Insurance providing liability coverage with minimum $500,000.00 in coverage and must have Lucile’s Old Market named as an additional insured not less than 10 days prior to the event.
Outside Contractors must also have copies of their business licenses, certificates of insurance, and proof of workman's compensation on file with Lucile’s Old Market.
In the event of any damages occurring to any items or to the physical condition of any and all space within Lucile’s Old Market itself, the client will be held solely responsible and will be billed accordingly. This includes, but is not limited to scratches, nicks, breaks, or marks of any kind.
The Host Group Representative shall be liable for the payment and performance of the terms and conditions of this Agreement required of the Host Group.
Lucile’s Employees are responsible for the protection of the venue and its contents. They are obligated to ensure the safety of the venue for the duration of the event. Alteration to the venue is prohibited. The client is financially responsible for any property damage to Lucile’s property that occurs during the rental.
Lucile’s reserves the right to ask anyone in question to vacate the premise.
